Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What kinds of clients do you work with?
I work with individual adults and couples navigating questions of identity, spirituality, religious trauma, gender identity, and deeper self-understanding. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ (though not exclusively), are deconstructing inherited belief systems, or are drawn to therapy as a space for sustained depth and reflection.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
My work is primarily psychoanalytic. This means we explore not only what is happening in your life now, but the deeper patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape how you relate, desire, and suffer.
I am also informed by queer, decolonial, feminist, and anti-racist frameworks. These perspectives shape how I understand identity, power, and the broader social contexts in which distress develops.
While my core orientation is psychoanalytic, I have training in additional clinical approaches and may thoughtfully integrate elements when clinically helpful.
This approach tends to resonate with people seeking depth rather than short-term symptom management.
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?
Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Downtown Manhattan (Financial District, Broad Street) and online therapy for adults located in New York and Florida.
How do I know if therapy with you is the right fit?
I offer a free 20-minute consultation to explore what’s bringing you in and whether this approach feels aligned.
You are always welcome to talk openly about the direction of the work — including endings if we get started and you realize it's not a good fit. I view endings as a meaningful part of the therapeutic process.
What are your fees?
For individuals, $250 for a 45-50 minute session
For couples, my fee is $300 for a 50-55 minute session
A limited number of sliding scale slots are available.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently accepting private-pay clients only.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide superbills for reimbursement if your plan allows. Many clients are able to receive a significant portion of their session fees reimbursed by using Thrizer, a payment service that simplifies out-of-network claims and reduces the amount clients pay upfront.
Do you offer training or consulting?
Yes. I provide training and consultation for therapists, clergy, and organizations seeking to integrate gender-affirming care and spirituality into their work.
